3D Printing / CNC Prototyping

Schererville, IN - Automation & Control Services, Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of a new, larger Stratasys 3D Printer.  This printer actually "prints" fully functional solid ABS Plastic parts directly from 3D CAD files, such as those produced on our SolidWorks 3D modeling software.  This new equipment allows us to instantly build larger prototypes and assemblies in multiple colors to test design concepts and the fit of components before finalizing a design.  In some instances the parts can be used as finished components where the durability and compatibility of the ABS material is sutiable for the application.

 If the prototype parts meet our needs we can then manufacture them in more durable form on our CNC equipment.  Our 4-axis Haas CNC Vertical Machining Center and Haas CNC Lathe allow use to fabricate parts and components out of a variety of thermoplastics, Stainless Steel, Titanium, or a variety of other specialty materials. This printer along with our CNC Machines add to our existing fabrication and machining capabilities, allowing us to have total control over the design, testing,and manufacturing phases without the need to work around another vendor's schedule or wait days or weeks to recieve prototypes and assoicated feedback from the end user.  In addition to custom, one-of-a-kind parts these machines are also well-suited for production runs of any size.

Yaskawa Motoman Robotics Strategic Partner

Automation & Control Servcies, Inc. is pleased to announce the reneal of its Integrator agreement with Yaskawa and the acquisition of a new 6 axis Yaskawa Robot to complement our existing machine design, testig, and fabrication services.  We are continuing to focusing our attention on a variety of material handling, robotic painting, and component handling applications where traditional fixturing and machine design may not meet the required flexibility that can be achieved with a multi-axis robotic arm.

To strengthen our presence in the packaging machine design and development area we have also partnered with Codian Robotics to integrate their line of Delta and Two Axis Robot manipulators into custom designed, high speed pick and place robots allowing high flexibility with lower costs of entry than traditional robotic or servo based control packaging systems.  Starting wth the Codian Robotics system reduces the time to complete the design and installation of high speed packaging and sorting applications from months to weeks.

Our extensive background in industrial controls programming and combined with our in-house prototyping and CNC fabrication services provides us a unique ability to design and build complex custom manipulators and tooling for our robotic applications and to fully integrate these within a more complex assembly systems.  We provide everything requuired for turn key systems from basic safety and guarding requirements to integration with other assembly equipment.  Applications from simple pick and place to complex vision inspection can be hnadled 100% in house greatly increasing the efficiency of the overall integration and design process and insuring complete confidentiality of your manufacturing process.
